Information Requirements to be provided by the Client:

In order for the enquiry to be quoted by IFCC the following shall be required:

  • Traceable records which give full details of installations, including details of the drawings / contract specification (client provided), products / systems used
  • Fire strategy report / drawings / extract showing compartment walls and specified periods of fire resistance
  • Steelwork layout drawings showing steel section sizes (where applicable)

Intumescent Coatings:

  • Intumescent coating system used in the original application. This would need to be identified not only by product manufacturer but also by product reference
  • Written confirmation of coating compatibility with pre-applied primer
  • The original project summary for the intumescent coating system from the coating manufacturer with loading requirements for each of the steel sections on site as each section type on site will require a different coating thickness depending on period of fire resistance required and number of faces of steel section exposed
  • Records of applied thickness of coatings DFT including primer thickness

Applied Spray Coatings

  • Spray coating system used in the original application. This would need to be identified not only by product manufacturer but also by product reference
  • bonding coat / reinforcing mesh
  • The original project summary for the spray coating system from the coating manufacturer with loading requirements for each of the steel sections on site as each section type on site will require a different coating thickness depending on period of fire resistance required and number of faces of steel section exposed / loading requirement for application to soffit

Fire Rated Cladding:

  • Fire rated cladding (board) system used in the original application. This would need to be identified not only by product manufacturer but also by product reference
  • The original project summary for the fire rated cladding system from the board manufacturer with confirmation of board thickness requirements for each of the steel sections on site as each section type on site will require a different board thickness depending on period of fire resistance required and number of faces of steel section exposed
  • Confirmation of installed fixing centres / types
