- Guidance on timber density
For all companies seeking registration within the Fire Resistant
Timber Door scheme, we have provided a guidance document on the
key issue to timber density. In addition International Fire Consultants
can provide a computer programme to help with the determination
of timber density – see www.intfire.com

labels
The Fire Resistant Timber Door Scheme requires all fire
doors registered within it to be marked with a label. These labels
carry a unique identifier and are affixed either to the head of the
door or the hanging edge of the door, this document explains all the
requirements of the scheme in respect of labelling doors and helps
the regulatory authorities to identify doors within the scheme.

- FPC Guidance for Timber Fire Door applicants Oct 2004
IFC Certification has identified that many clients do not have a
clear understanding of what is required of their quality system to
comply with the requirements of the timber fire door scheme. Therefore,
we have developed guidance notes specifically targeted at those clients
who need further clarification on how to meet the FPC (Factory Production
Control) requirements of the scheme.
