IFC Certification fires up.

IFC Certification Ltd has confirmed the appointment of Jerry Quayle as Director of Certification following the announcement that the company has achieved UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) accreditation to EN45011 in just 4 months. Mr Quayle joined the newly formed Company in August last year following a career which included positions with BM TRADA Certification, BRE Certification and research in the University of Wales.

1) IFC Certification Ltd had their first UKAS assessment in November 2003 and completed the process in late February 2004, with only 2 Non Compliances raised a considerable feat for a small business. The company has secured business in the Middle East helped not only by its responsiveness to local needs but also with the help of the DTI’s Passport programme of assistance for exporters together with a close network of business contacts developed by Jerry Quayle and his fellow Directors – Peter Jackman & Graham Wiles.
2) UKAS provide independent assessments of companies for those seeking registration in the UK as Certification Bodies under a range of internationally recognised ISO Standard series ISO EN 45000.

3) IFC Certification Ltd are accredited for ISO EN45011 for bodies providing product certification, the present scope of this accreditation is non metallic fire doors tested to the requirements of BS 476: Part 22: 1987.
4) IFC Certification Ltd are a member of the IFC Group of companies which also includes International Fire Consultants Ltd & IFC Technologies Ltd. The principle company of the Group was started in 1985 offering Fire Engineering and Consultancy by Peter Jackman who is recognised internationally as an expert in Fire sitting as he does on a wide range of UK, European and ISO committees variously as expert and UK representative.
5) Jerry Quayle until recently sat on a number of UK and European committees involved with the certification of products and has spent many years assessing the performance of companies throughout the world for a number of certification bodies based in the UK.
