European Technical Assessment

For some fire protection products, notably for structural steel protection and penetration and fire stopping products, the route to CE Marking is via an ETA (European Technical Assessment) issued by a TAB (Technical Assessment Body) against an EAD (European Assessment Document). The EAD specifies the evaluation criteria and factory production control requirements for the products

Note that the CE Marking of such products is not mandatory under the European Construction Regulation 305/2011 but if an ETA is issued for a product it is then required to CE Marked.

IFCC is a designated TAB and would be pleased to conduct this work. Also as a Notified Certification Body IFCC is ideally placed to conduct the AVCP (Assessment and Verification of Constancy of Performance) based on the ETA to enable you to CE Mark your products.
