CE Marking is the system under which a product is evaluated to a set of minimum requirements embodied in technical specifications enabling it to be placed on the European market.
Fire protection products are required to be evaluated by authorities approved by the EU and known as Notified Certification Bodies. IFCC is such a body and consequently is able to attest your fire protection products enabling you to affix the CE Mark and sell your products in Europe. Note that the CE Mark is not a ‘quality mark’ and thus not to be confused with the regime ‘Product Certification’.
It is nevertheless a product’s ‘passport’ for Europe. Note that ‘Technical Specifications’ are not currently in place to enable the CE Marking of all fire protection products but for those that are IFCC can provide this service. Note that CE Marked products may not comply with regulatory requirements outside of the European Union.
